Coronavirus vs Stargazing 21:52 - Mar 22 with 848 viewsGeoffSentence

Since we have lovely clear skies tonight, I have been out having a bit of a play with my telescope. Normally when I am out at night I can guarantee a minimum of 3 aircraft visible in the sky at any time, more often than not 4 or 5, and the record number I have seen in the sky together is 12.

Tomight I was out for about an hour and there were 4 in total, over the whole hour.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Yeah, notable lack of planes over London door much of the day. I don't mind them too much but it looks odd now.

Unfortunately I had a look outside and my vantage point in central London offered nothing that I could really use the scope on.

Not many planes either though as you say.

It's trees that get in my way.

But I love the trees, so I have to dodge around them to find something to see in the 'scope.
