I remember the 1-1 first home game with Man Utd. Weeknight I believe, it was really warm and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Willis with a cracking goal and then Beckham for them I think?

I couldn't get in as didnt have season ticket back then. On corner by bus garage before kick off as frantically tried to source a ticket I stepped in front of car which had to stop to avoid me. The passenger was Kevin Keegan!

Remember listening to the phone in on 5live after that game at Everton, and one of their fans phoned in saying, Ipswich won’t stay up, they’ll stay well up, best promoted team he’d seen at goodison in memory.

We took them apart that day.

The ground seemed to half empty at half time. We ripped them to shreds and I've never seen a home crowd turn on their team like that.

I am aware of that but when you think of the super force they are today i still think it’s remarkable. Similar to beating Real Madrid and Barcelona back in the day, just hard to comprehend.

That season was crazy. Dont forget 3-0 at Tottenham (I know they are not a proper big club). Alun Armstrong double on debut against Boro

We won 3-0 against Spurs at home but, I agree, amazing performance.

Blue Moon.
You got promoted too soon.
And now you're going back down.
And Europe's coming to Town.

Needless to say, they have had the last laugh.

I think you have gone early on that one.....

Many memories.....but the Stewart penalty against Southampton is a memory. So confident at that level we were taking the p1ss....
