Any of you nerdy lot know domesticity rules 10:02 - May 20 with 3496 views | Keno | I have just been asked by someone "if Scotland gets independence would a scot living in Scotland been been to automatically have Scottish domesticity or will that only happen after they have lived in Scotland for 18 years after independence" There is a relevance with regards to potential IHT issues that may arise with that 18 year period

Although if you play that card then there is the tricky quid pro quo question of what value do you place on keeping a monarchy going? OK, I know there were a couple of hiccoughs shortly after the Stuart take over, what with the interregnum and then that having to suffer a successful invasion by the Dutch (and having to cover it up by calling it a Glorious Revolution) but you are setting yourself on a course for accepting that England is actually just a region of Scotland. On a positive note, dispensing with Westminster and having everything organised from Holyrood would save a few bob...

But offset that against what you owe us for hearing damage caused by bagpipes and us having to put with the likes of the Proclaimers, the crankies, Nicola Sturgeon and Frankie Boyle

She supports Beijing Guoan and Spurs, but I drag her along to Town games if they aren't too far away.

Not a bad idea if people are serious about the union. Have a modern representative UK parliament in Edinburgh and separate the politics from the money and corporate self-interest. Might even get political journalists out of their bubble too. Turn Westminster into a Victorian theme park or just flatten it and build a skate park.

I'll take all of that and I will raise you Delia Smith. [edit] I think that is what they refer to as 'the nuclear option'... [Post edited 20 May 2020 15:31]
