Having read Woolfie’s interview in EADT today, I actually now don’t think he will leave the Club. He appears SO laid back, he’s almost got me feeling he’d need a bloody good kick up the Jacksie to get a reaction from him. Certainly not future Captain material ( based on what he’s said), and I had really, really hoped he would go onto Captain the team. But I can’t see that now, It’s just not apparent in his make up it seems. Such a shame.
I was actually a little disappointed by how he came across. And I’m not sure other Clubs, would really be pushing to get him if he lacks outward enthusiasm. Which could be misconstrued by Clubs as a player not having much mental strength or drive. Interestingly Woolfie states the stark difference between his attributes and those of his friend , Flynn Downes, who is very driven.
My comments are in now way meant as a criticism of Woolfie. I love the lad , but I’m am surprised at his approach to the game. I hope it doesn’t halt his progress. But if it means we actually keep him a bit longer , I’m all for it! |  |
