We’ll not see his like again. A pop star who was a credible artist. Somebody whose music crossed so many different genres.
Not knocking Radiohead but they gave up making commercial “songs” in the pursuit of making art. Bowie was one of the few who managed to do both at the same time. [Post edited 29 Jun 2020 11:34]

In '74 my sister sailed to New York on a huge liner from Southampton to work as an au pair. As luck would have it Bowie and his band sailed there to on the same ship and took some time out to play for the passengers. I always envy her those 5 days. | | | |
