What a performance. One of the greatest witnessed on the pyramid stage.

Not a huge fan of his to be honest, but what a performance. Shows why he was and still is regarded by many as a musical genius.

He really looked like he enjoyed that. I like it when they’re bang into it.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Heroes was cool.

I was there that year, but taking in Roni Size at the jazz stage at the time.

I saw a list of 76 albums released in 1976 the other day. Wow. I was just getting in to music at that time, totally spoilt.

Absolutely awesome. All his classics with a few twists. Great band. Great stuff!

The female singer was a great substitute for Freddie, wasn't she?

I thought Bowie came across as a very humble man who was really enjoying his performance.

Superb

Simply incredible. The man is a huge loss and to me the greatest musical entertainer ever. I still think the world has gone totally pear shaped since he went.

We’ll not see his like again. A pop star who was a credible artist. Somebody whose music crossed so many different genres.

Not knocking Radiohead but they gave up making commercial “songs” in the pursuit of making art. Bowie was one of the few who managed to do both at the same time.

Have the Hero's youtube part on repeat.

The guitarists, Steve Van Zant, Earl Slick, Gail Dorsey, are stunning.

Assumption is to make an ass out of you and me. Those who assume they know you, when they don't are just guessing. Those who assume and insist they know are daft and in denial. Those who assume, insist, and deny the truth are plain stupid. Those who assume, insist, deny the truth and tell YOU they know you (when they don't) have an IQ in the range of 35-49.

I was amazed just how good he was. Total performance. Wish I had got into his music earlier. Sad that we won't see him again. Anybody who missed it, watch it on catch up or iPlayer, you won't be disappointed. I have been talking about it all day. Made my weekend.

In '74 my sister sailed to New York on a huge liner from Southampton to work as an au pair. As luck would have it Bowie and his band sailed there to on the same ship and took some time out to play for the passengers. I always envy her those 5 days.

It’s good but you watch those vids of his performances in the 70s and it’s not even close.

Pretty sure Mark Plati was one of the guitarists along with Earl Slick
