They play to their strengths. No budget, tiny club and they've made the Championship.

Good on em

Promotion for the last teams standing in to a 33 team Championship?

Shall I book the open top bus now...

With the Championship and Premiership both restarting the lower leagues didn't really have the luxury of waiting indefinitely. A decision had to be taken. Personally I'd have voided the season but given that clubs wanted it to end but still have promotion and relegation then I don't really see a workable and more fair solution than PPG.

Wasn’t it already announced the premiership and championship would restart prior to League 1 voting? My argument is if they couldn’t play behind closed doors then, they can’t now. Meaning some clubs may not play football till possibly August 2021. Suddenly £400k to finish the league properly and fairly is a small price to pay. It was a rushed decision with many clubs not looking at the bigger picture as the leagues round the world now getting finished proves.

Yes it was already announced, hence the need to make a decision. On whether to end the season or not. The argument about whether clubs can start next season if it's still behind closed doors is a different matter that's not really related to the decision regarding the current season.

The decision to call the end of last season is 100% related to the next season. The biggest call for it was cost of playing behind closed doors. This shouldn’t change whether it’s the 19/20 season or the 20/21 season should it? Imo the didn’t need to call this season when they did, seeing as they won’t start 20/21 till September, providing fans can get in. There wasn’t any joined up thinking of how it would effect the following season tbh. If they decide they will start behind closed doors, why not do it now for 19/20 like the rest of the big leagues.

League 1 isn't a big league, mate.
