Yes. His book Skyfaring is worth reading, was 50/50 to buy it and glad I did. The same sense of wonder at fight as in that article.

I'll see your B52 and raise you with an Antonov An-124. They are an absolute beast. I've seen one land, they seem to come in so slow that it doesn't seem possible how they stay in the sky.
