A shocking graph highlighting C19 deaths in the US and Brazil on 09:14 - Jul 29 by homer_123 | Was discussing just this last night. Have we got to the point where we accept that what we are doing isn't enough? You then decide either go full on lock-down and stay locked-down until vaccine arrives or do you say, back to normal but there is greater risks? The current half-way house situation isn't working on so many levels. |
Yes it seems a bit of a compromise that doesn't help beat the virus but neither does it allow the economy to bounce back.

It is rather worrying considering the leaders of the respective countries have a rather stand offish approach to the virus. Even the President of Brazil has had the virus 3 times?! Trump, it does not have to be said does it! He for me is incompetent and is not fit for office. He argues with the media and is like a big kid. You need strong leadership and to collaborate with the media and be open with what is happening. He is in a run up to the election and I do not see him being re-elected. He has lost a lot of confidence. My sister lives in USA and her husband's family support Trump but surely this coronavirus has caused them to reconsider their voting intentions. They did reduce here before we jumped the gun and I fear we will have a second wave if we are not careful. Lives are more important than money. We must look to trialling a vaccine and ensuring we go towards managing the virus instead of chasing the pound and wanting things to reopen. We have to be perfectly sure we are 100% clear of this virus, which may or may not be a possibility or at least at a point where the number of cases gradually go down by 500 a day to 400, then in increments of 100 before we can reopen more businesses and increase the number of people meeting from 6 to 10 then 12 and then an unlimited amount.
