Did anyone agree with Mick here?

I think he had the potential, but evidently he hasn't lived up to it.

I don't think that there's not enough 'oh mate' in the world to be able to reply to this properly.

Essentially, that. Plenty of players at 22 look like potential Premier Leage players only to turn out not to be.

Poll: Which manager of the Marcus Evans era do you dislike the most?

Ward started 2017-18 superbly well, his performance at Millwall in central midfield and the goal against Sunderland stand out. He was a bit unfortunate not to play so often as that season went on.

He certainly had the potential for a move back to the Premier League but struggled to establish a defined a position, best is probably in a midfield three as he's not quite a winger or a central midfielder.

Also a manager talking one of his players up isn't too big a deal.

Scoring a hat trick on your debut is ALWAYS a bad thing to do!

Sets impossible expectations.

Makes me chuckle reading that - ''we can punch data in and it’ll throw up all the players we might be interested in who cost nowt and don’t want paying, and there’s not many of them on there, I have to be honest.''

Poll: Would you be happy with Paul Lambert?
