1 game at a time and all that, but yes we need to be ruthless and consistent against the lesser sides, to take pressure off the games against stronger opposition, so 3 points is an absolute must on Saturday. Having said that, I don't think Sunderland are great.
While the performance against Lincoln was poor, slow, cumbersome, lethargic, pedestrian, I don't think we deserved to lose. I can barely remember either keeper making a save, Edwards missed a header from 6 yards and they win it with a soft penalty. 0-0 would've been a fair result. Tonight, average performance again, but probably enough to warrant a win against weak opposition.
Saturday we need the result and convincing performance to match.
Dunno, they've just drawn with Rochdale. Posh have just dropped points against Burton. Other teams will have disappointing results; people seem to think we are the only team that isn't allowed any. Pleased with tonight's result and a late win through a quality goal given that we are still depleted — and will be for a while yet — in fundamentally important areas of the pitch. Let's just keep ticking them off.
We need a decent centre forward, someone who can just score goals, we've been saying it for years but that's the one thing that is literally holding us back. Gone are the days when we had Bent, Kuqi, Pablo and Bowditch to choose from, which was the last time we really had a quality attack.

Indeed. Doncaster ripped us apart and then lost their next two. Bonkers league. You just hope we have enough quality to see it out.

Bowditch is a rogue reference.
I would agree though, since MM was in charge really. I would say Murphy & McGoldrick and later Waghorn & Garner would good strike forces, they're probably the last.
Jackson's season hasn't got going yet due to injury & illness but he should be back now and we could really do with him stepping up and start scoring.
