Good Things can still happen in 2020 then. 14:37 - Nov 17 with 1489 viewsBlueBadger

Overrated ageing nazi Morrissey has been dropped by his record company.
Predictably, he's decided to get a bit racist about it.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Morrissey should be the cautionary tale for those insistent on dragging us into The Great Culture War. He’s essentially been having his own private Culture War, battling himself over questions of identity and nation for 4 decades, and has radicalised himself in the process.

There’s an undeniable genius and sensitivity in his earlier stuff but his self-indulgence has well and truly caught up with him over the last decade or so.

Since waving the Union Jack at Madstock whilst singing songs like National Front Disco and Bengali In Platforms he's been a bit iffy, they're not images you can flirt with and make out it was some kind of ironic artistic statement.

Bengali in platforms
He only wants to embrace your culture
And to be your friend forever
Forever
Bengali, Bengali
Bengali, Bengali
Oh, shelve your Western plans
And understand
That life is hard enough when you belong here

If challenged on any of this as being racist he metaphorically wafts it away as if everybody else is too thick to know what he's on about.

Yep. Agree totally.

Somewhere along the way he stopped using his feelings of alienation and insecurity to be interesting and vulnerable and started turning them on others. And as you say, there’s that lack of connection which means he thinks he’s above it all.

In reality, millions of people are like Morrissey in the UK and don’t belong or feel they belong for a variety of reasons. Not least a great many of the immigrants he’s stirring up against.
