Yep. Agree totally.
Somewhere along the way he stopped using his feelings of alienation and insecurity to be interesting and vulnerable and started turning them on others. And as you say, there’s that lack of connection which means he thinks he’s above it all.
In reality, millions of people are like Morrissey in the UK and don’t belong or feel they belong for a variety of reasons. Not least a great many of the immigrants he’s stirring up against. | |
