People are just interpreting Homer's post wrong.
He's just pointing out that because it doesn't stop people 'catching covid' that many will think there is no point in taking it.
I had to re-read it because I thought it was downplaying as well. But it's a good point, perhaps badly made. |

Disagree with footers. Nothing against Homer but if we're talking about people being put off by the virus then highlighting that the current evidence suggests the vaccine only does what a vaccine is supposed to do is a bit odd. |  |

No I'm irritated because of this opinion that you and a handful have, and have held in the past, that if you see people you consider to be of a particular view, that they are somehow all one person.
I am aware that *** argues with the same people day in/day out but I generally ignore it unless *** starts following me about looking to stir me up. As you seem to be intent on.

It's impossible to prevent catching a virus, under normal circumstances*.
However, immunity (natural or vaccine-acquired) will stop it from spreading within the body and thus the associated illness from developing.
* i.e. not being in complete isolation, sterile environment, wearing a full rebreather, etc. |  |
