His record as a manager over the last 8 years is far better than Lambert's.
He was on the short list after Mick McCarthy left & he would have been a far better appointment than Hurst, but we were all buying into the "up & coming young manager" such as Jack Ross or Hurst.
Ross has been doing fine at Hibernian - Evans does seem to have a gift for picking the worst possible option. |  |

Yes, Ross was considered a failure at Sunderland (W38,D27,L10). too many dull draws but he looks like a genius compared with Lambert whose Town record in the 3rd tier is W25,D13,L21. | |
