Wow. That was both terribly upsetting but kind of uplifting at the same time. Well done to the staff for arranging that, how wonderful to be able to say goodbye in each others' company, despite the awful circumstances.

The NHS is the most precious institution we have, it really is home to the most talented, caring and selfless sorts. My wife is a nurse, it really has been an utterly brutal year both physically and emotionally for all those case givers. I don't know how they do it, and get up the following day to do it all over again.
