I know they’re a good batting line up but there is no way they’ll chase 400 in 3 & a half sessions on this pitch.

Hopefully we have them 30-2 at the close & have another go at the first thing whilst the ball is still relatively hard.

Very odd this. I know they’re a good batting line up but there is no way they’ll chase 400 in 3 & a half sessions on this pitch. Hopefully we have them 30-2 at the close & have another go at the first thing whilst the ball is still relatively hard.

Maybe thinking if they gift Nadeem some wickets, that will keep him in their side for the next test.

That does make sense but if that was the strategy all along, you could argue the post lunch session was maybe on the reckless side. However, I know in cricket, tactics are very interchangeable depending on variables. Regardless of all that, I'd still be very disappointed if we didn't go 1 up with the time left.
