Since sacking their manager and appointing Lee Johnson (who likely would've taken the Ipswich job too), Sunderland have picked up 23 points in 13 games. If we'd accumulated points at the same rate we'd be 5th and still right in the hunt for 2nd.
It only works if the new manager has something to work with and the ability to do the work. I’m not in the least surprised Johnson has made a good start
