Town are 9/4 to make Top 6 on 10:27 - Mar 3 by BlueStreak | Furious about how Coral have acted here. Not like it is an obvious error pricing something at 30/1 when it should have been 3s for example. They are trying it on as they realise that they were a little too expensive. Still have a decent sum on at 9/4 with betfair but really shady from Coral. |
Coral do this a lot. I saw Arsenal were 7/1 to win against Molde (I think) when they were losing 1-0, they then equalised and the price remained the same. I lumped on, they then adjusted it after the bet was settled to evens or similar.

All bookies do this. They are unregulated and make the rules up as they go along. Me and a mate put decent bets on an Italian striker to score first and anytime during the women's world cup at a very good price (but not so big it was clearly an error). She scored first. Betfred voided our bets. Didn't even pay out at the 'correct' price. There was a story in the Guardian before Wimbledon a couple of years ago where one punter had backed a female player to win the singles title well in advance at a great price. In the year since the bet had been placed she had improved massively. The Guardian said William Hill planned to void the bet if she won the title. Earlier this season I noticed a way to make money arbing with Net Bet. I'm talking about making about £10 a day, nothing major. It was backing at odds of between 1.04 and 1.1. Literally going all in each time until I lost and won the money into Betfair. I lost £500 to them in a week (and made about £70 profit overall). I thought that backing such low odds and going all in on every bet my account was as safe as houses. They limited my stakes to £5 after about 9 days. Bookies despise anyone who wins even small amounts from them. They want mugs and will abuse their power to get rid of anyone who can win from them. I made too much from Bet 365 and now they won't even lay me £1 on an acca. Support the exchanges when you can. Usually better odds and they don't care who wins.

Exactly the same happened to me, accumulating bets on very short odds. Banned in no time, they hate losing money.

I've never quite got into the exchanges, and never really understood them, tbh!

Obviously dozens of these stories about, but there was someone who had backed a horse to win something one year, and then a bigger even the following year like Gold Cup Just before the main event, it's odds were obviously much shorter, so they basically said to the punter we won't pay out even if it wins......when in order for him to have won the bet they had to have known it's odds would decrease as it would be a favourite

Yea i've had several long waits over the last couple of years to see if I was about to get screwed over on bets which were clearly overpriced. I've been lucky so far. Apart from that Betfred one but thankfully that wasn't an arb so I didn't lose anything.

Still really annoyed with Coral over this change of odds situation. They have just sent me a copy and paste of their general T&C's it doesn't wash with me. 3/1 to 6/5 is variance, especially as the same bet was 9/4 with other bet makers the previous day. I think that can be argued. Really disappointing although like you say, not surprising.

It was 9/4 on the day, when I posted, but it did shorten to 6/5 after our win. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

1 win in 5 and a squad totally devoid in any confidence despite a manager with so much enthusiasm and clearly trying to coach and aid players. With the number of away games (forget where these teams are in the table) I'd say Top 6 is very unlikely. I'm almost tempted to lay now because i think the squad is broken. This is a Portsmouth team who's lost it last 4. Fleetwood lost convincingly at home so recent results are worrying. Cook needs time....we have to build for next season.

I agree. A friend told me we have to play 8 of the bottom 9 teams. That means nothing with our team. We haven't beaten a team convincingly in months and away from home i can't see us winning any if them.
