Not sure he has always been true to his word and I would imagine that he would have sold to whoever gave him the most money: if a dodgy Far Eastern consortium had offered him £100mill, no strings attached, don't you think he would have snapped their hand off? I do. Personally I'd be happy if he never set foot in PR again: he's been an unmitigated disaster, slowly grinding the club into the dust. He may, or may not, be a decent person, but his incompetence running us has been staggering. In 50 years of following the Town, I've never felt so depressed about the club, so good riddance as far as I am concerned. |
