Co-op 20:31 - Apr 21 with 611 viewshoppy

I heard a song on BBC6 Music earlier called “Co-op” by Bess Atwell.
I had to look up the lyrics, as at one point I thought I heard the line “My favourite place on Portman Road”... I did wonder who would choose the Co-op stand as their favourite place there...

Ha, yes had the same initial tension to it a couple of weeks ago.

I think it's 'Portland' rather than 'Portman', but I wouldn't say that's set in stone.

Yes, it is... but sounded very much like Portman... and the Co-op reference was obviously relevant too!

I've always wondered whether the lyrics in George Ezra's Shotgun are a nod towards our feathered 'friends' up the road.

"Time flies by in the yellow and green
Stick around and you'll see what I mean"

Sorry didn't make it as far as the vocals. Intro too boring.

Less is more.
