'The players behaved the same when we beat Plymouth as when we lost 2-0 at Fleetwood'.

That is hugely telling for a group of players that are paid to play the game. The atmosphere at the amateur clubs I played for is markedly different when you win or lose and when their jobs depend on results, and more recently, having to potentially move house to the other side of the country, uproot your family and maybe even be out of work, this is quite incredible to hear from Cook.

It doesn't surprise me one bit though.

Cook is playing a risky game putting so much of this blame on the players attitude. I say that in that not only has any chance of him pushing them to be promoted is gone, but if he does act as demolition man and bring in a new squad and the same thing happens again he won't be able to hide behind that excuse.

No, he won’t be able to hide behind any excuses. It’ll be his team, his accountability and he will know that. Hopefully, as they’ll be his players their commitment and character will be what it should be.

Indeed, and i'm sure he wouldn't disagree with that.

He's pretty honest.

If he gets his own squad and fails, he's got more than enough integrity to say so, he's already said as much about his current short stint, but it can't all be his fault and few of us are blaming him.

I must say that earlier in the season after a Saturday defeat Chambers came out and said something along the lines of disappointing result but another game Tuesday and we move on . Now i dont want to knock Luke too much as he has been a great servant to the club and many off us are grateful for his efforts over the years . But i did feel the defeat had not hurt him as much as it should and not as much as it used too . We are getting beat far too easily so something had too be done , PC has been outspoken and i applaud him in that and hope he can bring success , i will not miss many off the players he decides to let move on .

The Plymouth performance was rubbish, there was no reason for anyone to be particularly pleased with it.

So was the Doncaster match in "Lambert's epiphany" but that hasn't stopped people banging on about it, in fact so was pretty much every match since we beat Blackpool 4-1.

Of course he’s not. The season is done for us and has been for some time, a lot of the players won’t be here come pre season. It is Mourinho-like, it would be more concerning if the lot of them were still under contract, but thankfully they aren’t. So no, I can’t see the problem a few home truths and the fact those same players are proving him right. If I was a club looking at some of our players I’d have my doubts if they are the right type of character. The players have just not helped themselves. I’m really interested to see the comings and goings over the next few months.

Judge coming out after a drab 0-0 at Rochdale with 0 shots on target and calling it a good point sums up the utter malaise and lower than a snake's belly standards we have amongst that squad.
