My jaw dropped when i read that quote. Classic "we are above the law" argument imho.
Looks like the jury goes out early next week so the trial should come to a conclusion sooner rather than later.

It's the defence lawyer trying to sound persuasive. I am sure the judge will clarify in their final summary.
Some of the defence quotes throughout have smacked of classic racism. However, I will refrain from commenting beyond this on an active case.
