If Chelsea win the final they will qualify. What about if Man City win, will 5th place in the Premier League then qualify too? If so, then these 5 have all qualified regardless, haven't they?

But, since it is Chelsea who will finish 5th or the place would go to the team who finishes 5th if they didn't, then the top 5 will all qualify anyway won't they?
The only way this can make any difference is if the winners finishing in the top 4 does not give the place to 5th. In that case, Chelsea will miss out if they finish 5th and fail to win the final and Leicester would miss out if they finish fifth regardless. | |
