In the news intro really struck me the updates on recruitment and retainment…
4 players to be kept… Edwards chose not to stay
So we have KVY, Norwood and Drinan…
Plus 2 new additions.
So that’s 5 players not on the naughty exit step.
And what really stood out… it’s ONE week to pre-season!
SO… even if we managed 5-7 new signings of quality - which would be miraculous… then quite a number of players will have to get on the cook bus.

I personally still think people are taking Bretts 10% to literall. I dont actually think PC is hoping to keep just 4. I think and as AL mentioned. PC is hoping more step up and prove they want to win and be part of this.
I think Bretts point is that our squad was just to big. Saying 10% to me is a throw away comment. Rather than saying we are looking to keep just 4 players. |  |

I sort of agree
But let’s face it.. any legacy players will have had the negative feeling of the exiting players in their heads - if Chambo is discussing Cook negatively in a restaurant toilet, what was the vibe in the dressing room!!!
I for one think we’ll have to keep 4/5 the like of Wolfenden, kenlock
But I’m expecting extra season to be a building one, play offs if we’re lucky, can’t see top two given where the squad is with a week to go to pre season | |

Exactly why I didnt have the love for chambers as some had.
The same guy who held player meetings with Skuse behind Hursts back... telling mr Joe Bloggs how he feels about life at town in a toilet.
That has been our captain ffs.
So we move on. Look forward and hopefully who ever is here wants to win. Actually hates not winning rather than putting out a soundbite about it. | |
