On last season's form, no loss at all. We need better. Shame it didn't work out and probably mostly down to the injuries but as a third season in L1 awaits no room for sentiment.

well unfortunately there is a romanticism from too many of our fans that if a player comes through our academy shows an ounce of potential then we need to play them and if they get minutes they'll be really good and he'll be one of our own.
Unfortunately that's not how it works! If they are good enough, they'll be involved, academy or not. Jack had lots of chance last season but faded badly...and another with a questionable attitude unfortunately.
I wouldn't have been against him being part of the squad but obviously Cook and the owners think they can bring in better. if they do then no problem with me | |
