By your argument we'd all be speaking olde english Jeera. Which would be as dull as dish water trying to work it out.

I thought of you earlier when my neighbour suggested I cut ye olde grasse on the morrow as it goes.

I might just be a rebel and go for it if I can be bothered.

Edit: hang on a minute, that's not the same thing.

There's a thread somewhere about sayings that get 'misspoke'. That's not evolving, that's just people getting it wrong!

Less about VAR and more about the offside rule. Now that we have mm precise technology, I think the application needs to be looked at.

The purpose of the offside rule was to stop goal hanging. Clearly, ruling out goals for being a mm out is not the original point. There should be daylight between the defender and attacker for it to be offside.

Nah

Offside is offside. Don’t get all this stuff where people say he was only a mm off. We’d then be drawing lines for whatever is the allowance.

Should be from the standing foot though. No need for the time delay. Should be as easy to VAR as goal line technology.

Thank the lord, a goal :-)

I reckon the good lord is so happy he'll overlook any sunday grass cutting tomorrow.

Oh well, there's the inevitable Italian goal, deserved or otherwise.

Mind you, he had 4 of them on him and still put it away.

Well guess what, Italy score as soon as I get in from muttwalking & garden watering

And again - wow, what a superb goal that second was - cracking long-range cross-field pass that led to it.

That was an unusual goal to say the least.

Is it doable? Can Austria do the improbable?

Alright in the end, bit like watching us for 90 minutes. Still Wales game was enjoyable.
