I get that the pendulum of public opinion may have swung away from the post-mick dream of tippy tappy passing football (understandably given how badly hurst and lambert implemented it) but are we really at the stage where we prefer a big unit over a skilful smaller guy?

Note: I rate crooks and i hope we sign him but the way i interpreted it, the OP essentially asked HOW we would like to win L1. I'd like to win it with a dribble and a 25-yard screamer (preferably with a few games to spare). I'd take a back-post header (with a few games to spare) but it wouldn't be my preference.

Perhaps i'm getting ahead of myself.
