Running Towards Adversity…. Morecombe 22:19 - Aug 4 with 844 viewsunstableblue

We will win by scoring more goals than the opposition (and not own goals)..

1. We’ll do that by having better players (I still think we’re 3-4 players short of that, but it’s only Morecombe!!)
2. By wanting to win the game more than the opposition - and surely the Ashton rallying cry, the new motto above the dressing room* and Cooks passion will as Evans states fire this team up…. But my word those Morecombe players are going to be on it!!
3. By having the more effective system and shape…. 4-2-3-1 is what we hear, but have we seen it work under Cook? This remains the grey area for me!! And my word I hope we see some clear structure Saturday… not the ragged look of pre season… but as the leadership have stated it’s going to take time and patience

* running towards adversity - what do people think?? To dare is to do!! What is the adversity!? Our current state?

Looks like 21k blues are responding to them rallying cry - and that’s impressive

I preferred the patented "Unstable Model". Hoping we get off to a good started, but won't be too disappointed if we start slowly.

Some good news perhaps that Morecombe will also be a work in progress…. on 22:58 - Aug 4 with 704 viewsunstableblue

…with 9 new players signed… and more incoming. And a change in manager with Derek Adam’s leaving to manage Bradford…

Robinson is ex Motherwell with a 42% win ratio

This change in manager and personnel seem to our advantage… not a tight knit newly promoted wide eyed visiting the Portman Mecca

The model didn’t seem to land Kropotkin

But goddam they’ll embrace it!!

The power of three my dear blue brother… the power of three

I just want to see glimpses of elements of the model working on Saturday..

Some players standing out
Some real desire
Passages of attacking and expansive play

If it’s a little ragged, inconsistent, slow at times… that’s fine… but just need to see those green shoots Saturday… doesn’t need to be perfect

A flat performance… that will be hard to take

Yeah, that last sentence strikes a chord. I want to see the desire to win there. A tempo. No heads dropping if we concede. A performance that the fans can get behind, even if we see clear areas for improvement.

Edit: accidentally hit down vote for OP... On phone, so being clumsy
