Mixed messsages 10:03 - Aug 8 with 942 views | fergalsharkey | I didn't go yesterday but listened to the match on poor quality suffolk fm signal in Essex. The atmosphere sounded amazing yet posters on here saying it was flat? it sounded to me that individual errors apart, we have an identity and players with actual ability and purpose, something we have lacked for years. Brenner and Mick made the whole thing sound one sided in our favour , talking as though a town win was always on the cards but posters on here seem to be telling a different story. Seems we have two gems in Harper and Evans . Why does it feel so flat?

Mixed messsages on 10:11 - Aug 8 with 888 views | martinwellbourne | Not that many have been to a football match for 18 months, thatll have something to do with it,though the North Stand always sees disjointed anyway, the Blue Action lot in their corner sing one thing, the middle section try and do something else and it just doesnt work like it did in the old stand, but thats been gone near 20 years and many of the current fanbase wont remember that. Not sure what the answer is really.

Mixed messsages on 11:15 - Aug 8 with 763 views | thebooks | Well, the atmosphere was mixed (I’m in the middle of the North Stand). It was good in the build-up, especially when PC came on to the pitch, and the start was OK. Of course, then Morecambe scored and it was pretty much like most of the Lambert L1 era: quiet. It didn’t help that the team were playing that plodding Lambertball either. Built up again when we had a really good patch in the second half, then Morecambe scored against the run of play, which deflated things. The rest of the match the NS was just having a go at the ref, which is always a sign that we’ve not played that well. A draw seemed about right to me. We played well in patches, but Morecambe defended solidly and occasionally looked dangerous. We weren’t “robbed” in any sense, if that’s what Radio Suffolk were implying. The squad does look very good, though, so I wouldn’t be too worried. As for the flat feeling overall — lots of things. The Cook era hasn’t taken off at all and this is our third season in League One. As someone who’s been going to matches for decades it really has been rubbish for years now. I think we’ve run out of steam and just need the team to actually give us something to sing about. We could do with some actual ITFC songs as well. Allez, Hey Jude etc. are just other teams’ efforts. Hark now hear is about the only we have, and we were singing that when I started going to football. I guess that will come when we start getting some performances.
