Cheltenham = 15 crosses, Ipswich = 0. 21:53 - Aug 17 with 4023 viewsWallingford_Boy

That was shockingly bad.

I’m not saying “sack the manager”, but we can’t do anything at the moment.

Can’t defend, can’t finish, can’t cross. But we can play loads of little passes on the edge of our own box!

Something isn’t right..

RIP Sir Bobby

Yes we did, in most of the first half.

Rude.

Hahaha, ok.

You get the point Wallers.

Generally though, no I am not happy with what I'm seeing. Obviously. I see the ebullient posts about how great the loss to Newport haven't been replicated.

And the second half?

So you’re happy with zero crosses over 90 mins.

Odd.

It's clearly not true Wallers you daft sod.

From the official website we had 12 crosses and they had 19;

Wherever that stat has come from, it’s completely untrue. We put crosses in the box. Full backs didn’t get forward at all but we definitely put crosses in the box.

This thread just sums up the negativity inherent in some on here. You thought there were no crosses from Ipswich at all, even though you watched the bloody game! How on earth could you think that was correct?!

If ever there was an example of seeing what you want to see, it's encapsulated right here. You missed TWELVE crosses FFS!

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

That was something that's not mentioned as much tonight, although think it was more prominent at Burton.

If we ignore our poor defending, we're not creating as many chances as we should be. Again, bit like last season where we were good up to their box and then don't seem to be able to do much. I'm hoping with a settled front 4 or so they'll start to get into some rhythm, but it needs to come faster.

I don't think PC knows his best front 4. He's got so many players that play in that No.10 role, but 'can do a job' in various other attacking roles I think that's clouding his selection. We've got a few that naturally play in those wide roles, so play them there. Those whose strength is centrally play them there - Norwood, Chaplin, Fraser and Piggott, stop shoehorning them in because they can cover other positions, personally I think this is where managers go wrong.
