Pre-match warm-up 14:28 - Sep 20 with 1395 views | Fixed_It | In the pre-match shooting drill on Saturday in front of our fans, Holy was in goal. Now, our finishing was pretty impressive, but TH only made about 3 or 4 saves. Is it usually the case that the reserve keeper takes part in these drills (I'm not normally in the stadium early enough to see)? Hopefully he wasn't giving it 100%, but he certainly looked weak. Nice guy though. [Post edited 20 Sep 2021 14:29]

Its a warm up for the strikers not the keeper. First choice keeper will have a proper warm up, no point wasting warm up time for proper keeper by blasting shots at him. Its not a warm up for teenagers in the park!

I'd imagine the reason the #2 takes those drills is simply because it does absolutely nothing to actually prepare the keeper. Really bears no similarity to any match situation, it's very much an exercise for the shooter. Honestly, it probably does more harm than help for a keeper. You shouldn't really be saving much, and it's very easy to hurt yourself. The #1 would be better off doing almost anything else.

You're right - a cardinal sin! I've actually met Craig, which won't help to dispel the stereotype that all Canadians know each other. Met him when I was in high-school when my girlfriend won a Nutella competition - the prize was a paid trip to Montreal to meet him. Absurd really.
