So genuine question to those who think Cook deserves more time... 21:26 - Oct 2 with 3290 views | OriginalMarkyP | How much time? 10 games. 2 wins. 4 draws. 4 losses. A lot of people mentioned 10 games as a point at which to assess. (But let's forget we've lost 2 other games this season that it is politic to ignore). And forget too, the games he was in charge of last season where he failed to motivate a team who couldve gone up, instead (if we believe what those ITK) choosing to tell them he was going to bring lots of his own players in almost as soon as he arrived. So again, How Much Time? 15 games? 20? 30?

Can’t see anyone coming in here and being that good to be fair, I’m pretty sure we’ll float around League 1 for many years to come.

So genuine question to those who think Cook deserves more time... on 22:33 - Oct 2 by TheBoyBlue | I don't know. We need to go up this season and personally I think there is more risk of that not happening by changing manager again and allowing them to bed in then just letting Cook develop the squad he has built, especially as the signs are there. I guess if we got to Christmas and we had stalled on the improvements then our best chance might be to give a new guy the January window to improve things as they see fit, but I'm confident that Cook will have got things well and truly going by then. |
but I think if we left it glitching that long, the new manager would have an impossible task to drag the team into contention for promotion spots, we are already I think barring a miracle of form that lasts the remainder of the season, so not even just a run of a few games anymore, looking like playoffs at best is all thats achievable. but Ive always maintained you dont sack your manager unless you have a better option lined up
