If the board want/expect promotion this season 17:12 - Nov 20 with 2317 viewsColchesterBlue1985

then Cook will be gone very soon. If they aren’t bothered which some seem to suggest whether it’s this season or next he will always do just enough to stay in the job. Before anybody says it’s not just a defeat to a top 6 side. Our home is poor and shows no signs of getting better any time soon then we must take points away from home.

Every club's fans in every league think "we should be in or around the top 6 no excuses" (or higher) - that's a major part of why we watch football!

Yeah like Norwich fans for instance...

Then my question is “how can they not expect it?” We have spent a small fortune and I would be disappointed with a 3-6th finish. We should be in or around the top 6 no excuses.

“We have spent a small fortune”…

Where has this emerged from all of a sudden as I’ve seen a few posts lazily saying this. It was widely acknowledged that we recouped as much as we spent on transfer fees and the wage bill although will likely be higher than last season, is within guidelines and not that much bigger according to Ashton.

It will almost certainly be in the 2 or 3 largest in the division (if not the largest) and I'm not sure why people are so determined to believe otherwise.

Even without additional investment, this would still be the case because of our larger gate receipts and season ticket sales.

I also don't know how you look at our recruitment and convince yourself we aren't outspending pretty much everyone else in the division, most of whom don't pay fees at all.
