Back in the dark days I was spending every night in The County (Pub) and sometimes would stay there for days without going home. One of my biggest memories in life are when I was completely out of it but managed to put either Billy Joel or Squeeze on at some stupid time of the morning. I was continuously left on my own in the bar overnight and struggled with the music system - but Squeeze and Billy Joel were my get go at the time.
Great days!
Where has it gone?
“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.”
Boris Johnson canvassing in Henley, 2005.
I went to see ELO in Amsterdam a few years back and I took the Mrs as she loves a bit of ELO.
Now here's the thing - If someone is playing then I'm dancing. Straight up, I've been thrown out of a Roger Waters gig in Birmingham because I wouldn't conform and sit down.
Anyhoo - I have a problem with UK gigs because of the sit down dick attitude and this is why I saw ELO at The Ziggo - and guess what, no fecker danced! We danced for the first number and then felt uncomfortable because we were spoiling the view of the squares.
Lady Lucan and I had a great time but we ended up drinking in the concourse and dancing out of sight on the stairs when we had the opportunity.
