End of the Road festival on 20:24 - Feb 1 with 1783 views | LevelTheLand | Not been before, and looking at the line-up, I shan't be going any time soon... There's nothing particularly wrong with the line-up, but it's almost as if you've gone into a craft brewery and asked a group of moustachioed gents to name their ideal festival, so they each try and outdo each other on niche artists that they've heard of.

Only saw it because of looking up Aldous Harding, who I'm seeing in Norwich and then Pixies caught my eye.

To be fair, I'd love to see Pixies. I just can't imagine there being much of a mix of atmosphere from stage to stage, but I've only heard of about a third of the line-up, so I might not be being fair!

Pixies don't exist. Nor do fairies. Nor even at the bottom of your garden.

And do you have any evidence to back up that audacious claim?
End of the Road festival on 20:46 - Feb 1 with 1723 views | Pablo_Counago | Lineups for the festival were better the last few years in my opinion. However, Lucy Dacus is well worth seeing as is Black Midi though their music is a little... rougher for some. Definitely better festivals I'd rather go to this year

Yes. There is no empirical evidence of their existence, thus proving they don't.

Give Yard Act a listen too. If you like The Fall, Sleaford Mods, Arctic Monkeys that is

I was wondering about the general vibe/location more than the line up if anyone has been. Edit...or other festival suggestions. [Post edited 1 Feb 2022 21:06]

Sorry I should have mentioned about that. Had a mate that always used to go every year. He really loved it and it sounded like a much more family friendly place than other festivals. Much more relaxed type of thing. Also said it was quite difficult to get to however if you're coming from anywhere east of London

Bearded Theory is a proper gem of a festival. Proper bars with local beer and you can take cans in if you want. Good range of music as well

It really is, discovered it in 2012, went each year until 2019 due to having a child, and it hasn't happened since! Oh well, not long now!

Will be looking that one up. Bizarrely we never made it to Beautiful Days despite me and Miss Slave knowing Jeremy (Levellers) pretty well and probably being able to get in for nothing. Only ever heard good things about it too.

End of the Road festival on 22:11 - Feb 1 with 1543 views | Dubtractor | I've been loads of times. One of the very best UK festivals IMO. Re Level The Land's comments, not surprisingly it does appeal to a certain demographic, but I guarantee you'll have a good time if you go. It is a lovely festival site too. Annoyingly we have to miss it a lot due to Mrs Dub being a teacher and it often falling in term time, but we're there when we can make it! It is a similar festival in a lot of ways to Green Man, which we go to every year.

Think 'End of the Road' is one of the many that my son has worked, can't remember him complaining about it. The line up looks nice and eclectic and it has been ages and ages since I saw Tinariwen, also a cheaper ticket than WOMAD. Then I saw the Bearded Theory poster and realised how much I want to see The Patti Smith Band... [Post edited 2 Feb 2022 13:28]

I'm in the middle of writing a book called The 100% never to be questioned Archaeolgial Proof of the existence of Fairies, Leprechauns and Giants. Think Chariots of the God's but for children. You will never question the existence of Fairies again...
