Currently giving Boris a real grilling. He is squirming.

Bit of a Daily Mail hot take for you, Guthers.

I think millennials are a lot more switched on to social and economic injustice compared to the previous generations. Sure, people want nice things too but not at any cost.

Generally speaking if you’ve grown up and have formed your opinions during the age of the Internet then you’ll find it harder to ignore this stuff. Contrast that with older generations that more often fall into echo chambers online because they came at this enormous and varied source of information from a fixed view from the start.

People are people and the internet is as responsible for bombarding the young with consumerist messages as it is in spreading social responsibility.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Well, it’s a lot more balanced message than we grew up with in the 20th Century.

Tories have won 75% of post war elections because ‘my husband told me to vote Tory’ … fuucking pathetic

I don't have the energy to answer that other than to say that perhaps you should read up on how women haven't always had the educational advantages or freedoms that men have had.

Biggest political shock I've ever had was just prior to 2019 GE - revelation by local NHS worker that she always votes tory & wouldn't be changing anytime soon.

Think my jaw hit the floor.

We have a very vocal NHS employee on here, who constantly & quite rightly bemoans the implosive crisis that tory policy has created within the health service.

Doesn’t stop him constantly chumming up with the one of the proudest & loudest enablers of tory policy on here, who has blatantly & proudly spent his ‘grown-up’ life actively voting for the disruption of everything said employee should want for his profession.

Unfortunately, a hugely important position of care doesn’t always equate with a vaguely logical thought process.

One of the biggest injustices felt by young people at the moment is that rents are sky-high and mortgages are impossible to get - as Eldest Oozami says, it's ok for her and her partner to pay £2.5k per month rent for a 3-bed house in Bethnal Green for the foreseeable future, but no way would they be able to get a mortgage for that amount....cue all the "I lived in a cardboard box for 5 years to save up for a deposit" replies....
