I Almost asked a similar question when we played Manning's side as it almost felt like a current manager v future manager game. Doesn't mean it's something that's gonna happen any time soon and the OP doesn't say that either. |
The implication is fairly soon, otherwise what's the point of speculating? If we're thinking a couple of years down the line, then Manning will either be gone a lot higher or no longer in vogue. And there will be other candidates who are in vogue by then. |  |

If KMac does really well for us, which I think he will, then his career trajectory is probably on a line similar to someone like Brendan Rodgers early in his managerial career. Ergo, it is a concern to me that KMac won't be with us for that long. We may well become victims of our success.
