Defending Corners . 12:28 - Mar 20 with 2080 views | Wickets | Did not really want to but have just watched the highlights . Last week against Portsmouth we saw Woolfie being constantly man handled at corners and dispite his many complaints to the Ref nothing was given of course and to be honest this is the norm . Watching Oxford goal yesterday our defender Burgess i think does not lay a glove on the goalscorer. It seems strange to say when we have been so good at keeping clean sheets under KM but where we too soft or did we just switch off ?

Defending Corners . on 15:01 - Mar 20 by BarcaBlue | I think you are deliberately not understanding the word "miss". The coaching would probably be getting Celina, and Morsy in a previous match, into the right position rather than specifically suggesting Burns should pass to them. |
I think that's taking away quite a bit from the coaching team tbh. It's been clear as day Burns has gone from drilling balls across the box to taking time to look up and place passes to those coming into the box. No point getting players into the box if the final ball into it is just a pot luck whip across. It's similar coaching to that of Bonne and his offside % in his appearances has drastically reduced too. We have also seen an improvement from celina in his off the ball work too.

Defending Corners . on 15:20 - Mar 20 by Vic | So are we to fine strikers for not scoring? I’m struggling to get my head round the fact that 3rd division players are so criticised for making a mistake! They play for us and not Prem teams for a reason! The6 are going to do it - the wonder and joy is that they have made so few for the last dozen matches. |
No, again as replied to the other post of a similar question. If a miss was made at least they tried. This is just a case of a player not doing his job in moving to Mark a player at a corner. It wasn't that he was beaten to the ball in the air, he just did not move and that at any level is irresponsible. People have called it ruling by fear. Its not at all. Its an expectation that you do your job to the best of your ability until that final whistle. Burgess can 100%, be happy with his game overall and how he's been solid since coming in, that's not on trial here. But not moving at all is a massive failure and deserves a fine. Some clubs have done it. Some clubs don't. And it's my opinion we should.

Defending Corners . on 20:41 - Mar 20 with 354 views | LeoMuff | Watched the replay and think we need to up our sh1thouse game ala Portsmouth, Morecombe, if either of those were 1-0 away to us in the 70th minute, the ball would have been in play for about 8 minutes from then on, the injuries would be one a minute. Fair play we went for goal no2 but it cost us in the end.

Defending Corners . on 12:32 - Mar 20 by FrimleyBlue | Watching the game back we coped all game. Just 1 second of ignorance from Burgess, I always feel strongly with situations like that. He should be fined. |
Perhaps Piggott should be fined for not turning up all season AWOL
