Hey Illinois, what's going on in Chicago? 17:31 - Jul 4 with 2631 viewsnoggin

Sounds like another shooting thing. Hopefully nothing major.

Poll: If KM goes now, will you applaud him when he returns with his new club?

If they’re not all gun-loving a lot of people are certainly gun tolerant and seemingly accepting of the fact tragedies like today will just keep on happening. When kids getting slaughtered at school is met with mostly weary shrugs then you know you have a large problem.

It’s usually meet with horror, did you see the parkland movement and the marches in DC? It’s being held hostage in the senate.

Agree, not all are lunatics. It’s a minority, but a deadly one.

Work colleagues of mine from Alabama have 14 guns and 27 guns respectively in their houses. Both have young kids, both law abiding citizens.

And all guns obtained legally.

Couldn’t meet nicer people, but between 2 people there are 41 guns. That’s not normal, but sadly it also is.

A lot of gun owners have grown up with them since year dot, as weird as it is to comprehend. They know how to use them, live in rural areas, hunt and are highly responsible with it. Pretty much everyone in places like Arkansas, Alabama, Wyoming etc will own them. I’m not sayings it’s right but it is the way it is.

No one needs a military style rifle to hunt though.

At least the people running for office in Illinois seem normal.

Arkansas - 9th highest gun deaths per 100,000 people.
Alabama - 5th highest gun deaths per 100,000 people.
Wyoming - 4th highest gun deaths per 100,000 people.

Not great examples really.

Examples of what? I’ve never debated that more guns ownership doesn’t = more deaths. I’ve also stated that recent policy in certain progressive cites hasn’t helped recent either, which is very clear in the numbers. As you can probably tell by my posts on this thread, I’m not pro gun either. Was just pointing out that obviously there are responsible gun owners in certain states where ownership is very high and it’s the cultural norm. In heavily populated cites where it is illegal and much harder to obtain a firearm there is still a multitude of problems.

Anyway, I’ll happily say this politely once but I won’t be engaging with you on here after your antics in previous threads just because we don’t see the world in exactly the same way.

With you’re undoubted expertise about the way of American daily life, my friends careers and the amount of revisionist rubbish I speak I doubt you’ll get much out of it either! So feel free to give me that wide birth you talked about instead of following me around. I wish you all the best, of course.

As for the shooter, it’s always the ones you’d least suspect

I’m sure there’s oddballs and loaners in every country. Luckily must of them don’t have access to AR15s. Not sure the amount of time being desensitized online is helpful either these days.

BTW how is he still at large in an old Honda?!

Got him. And yes mental health problems and easy access to machine guns is not a healthy combination.

For as much as we discuss it, we all know nothing will really change.

Sad but true, although sounds like they had to release the info for the manhunt I don’t love the fact that his name is now going to be infamous and plastered everywhere online.
