A week since I tested positive for C19 11:50 - Jul 10 with 3136 viewsnoggin

and I'm still very short of breath, especially while walking. Most people I know who have had the rona recently, say they have been better after a couple of days with cold/flu symptoms. Anyone else still having breathing problems after a week?

Tested positive today, but feel much improved compared to the last couple. Odd, I thought it would show on the test earlier, but then what do I know about viruses?

What I do know is that if you can avoid it, great. It’s not nice. However, that’s just about impossible if somebody in the house gets it and to be fair to the misses, she’s been as careful as it’s possible to be in the past two or three weeks, as she’s off to Germany today..

Likewise improved overnight. Still tired at stages though.

Likewise. I like to try and walk twice a week with a buddy anything up to 9 miles usually. 9 yards is about my lot at the moment. Exhausted. Feel a bit better though and the appetite is returning so on the up.

Everything I’ve read on this says that when you are recovering, take it easy and don’t push yourself - which is totally contrary to my nature. This little virus of delight really does feel like something you’ve got to be patient with though. I acknowledge i’m very am lucky in that I’ve packed up work and can do that. Not so easy if you’re self employed or forced into cracking on when you shouldn’t.

Do try and avoid C19 if you can folks. I’ve actually got a decent immune system, but this one has knocked me over since the weekend.

11 days in and I feel fine, apart from my breathing. My lung capacity is definitely reduced and I'm coughing now, which I wasn't when I was feeling ill. I can only imagine how someone with COPD feels every day.

Hopefully over time your lung capacity will recover.

COPD - Agreed. I always remember as a kid my dads brother who had emphysema. He was very old (about 40) and died of it before he was 50. He would sit in a chair gasping and wheezing for air, poor bloke. Yep, COPD is not good.

On the upside, thank goodness for vaccination. It might have made no difference whatsoever to me, but I’m glad I didn’t have to find out the hard way. Bring on the booster!

i got it a couple of months ago at my brothers funeral, nothing major in feeling ill but now i get out of breath easily.
one thing i meant to ask you nog do you have relations in suffolk

I went to school in Leiston but left 36 years ago. I was lucky that my years in Suffolk coincided with the Robson years. My first game was a 3-0 win over Derby in about 74.

4 days in after testing positive on sunday. No breathing issues, happy to report. My main symptoms are sore throat, sniffly nose and a cough. Achiness and headache I had for first couple of days has gone. Hopefully am on the mend now!
