“Style of play” - there it is again. What sort of striker are we looking for to suit this style exactly? A target man? A work horse? A poacher? Someone to play on the defenders shoulder? I see a lot of reference to Bonne not suiting out style but no-one seems to know what it is we need.

Ladapo - versatile, in behind, channels, occupies defenders, good in the box
What missing?
Opposite of Jackson for me, Bonne starting to look more and more like a missing link at this level. Simply need someone to share burden with Ladapo. Young player in Hirst mould would work, or play off strengths of Bonne so long as Harness and Chaplin are scoring goals. It’s profiles for games and opposition that’s the key. | |
