Morsy 10:09 - Aug 17 with 776 views | BlueNomad | An absolute giant again last night. He just dominates opposition midfields, on and off the ball

Thought Evans had a brighter game than him last night. HOWEVER, despite it being one of his quieter nights, I'd still give Morsy a 6.5/7 out of 10.

I watched with some other blues on iFollow, and whilst he still did great work and some strong tackling and harassing.. we all agreed he was well off his best form.. with misplaced passes.. errors and a lack of drive going forward.. which we missed... still a 6.5, but well away from his own standards Matched also by Wolf, Edmundson at times, Harness at times, Ladapo... I think McKenna will look back on the video and realise he got away with it last night.. and not through great robust performance.. they'll not be able to play like that against similar teams with a but more confidence in them Still its a great start to the season

I think with Ball out we're starting to look a little light in CM, especially as the games start coming thick and fast. If we lose Evans or Morsy that would mean Harper comes in, which doesn't really fill me with confidence. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone come in in that position before the end of the window.

Morsy on 10:22 - Aug 17 with 670 views | clive_baker | Quality. He's a born leader too, and the fact he's right in the middle seeing everything is perfect. The amount of times he put a rocket up Woolf, him and Evans laid into Edmundson at one point too. Saw him doing the point at the head to Leigh as if to say 'focus'. After the shakey first 10 minutes Walton gave Morsy a word too and I saw SM mouth back 'I know, I know' before going to chat with someone (think it was Edmundson again). He's a proper leader on the pitch. By his own standards he was on the ball less last night but he was quietly effective, and by just about anyone elses standards it was a good performance. We've just come to expect a lot. Bit like the criticism Burns was getting in the first couple of games, victims of their own competence really by way of expectations amongst some.

Morsy on 11:57 - Aug 17 with 538 views | DJR | I don't think that was the case in the first half. Indeed, it has been a feature of some of our games that Morsy struggles a bit in the first half when the opposition can be at their best, but he always comes good in the second.
