Absolutely spot on! What difference would a 25 goal a season striker have done today (didn’t Piggot have 20+ the season before we signed). We didn’t win today because we couldn’t defend two crosses and because of a bizarre referring decision (he’s nowhere near the incident to make any decision).

Lol jesus either our standards have dropped to rock bottom or we're extremely lenient. No idea idea if you've watched it back but he's unmarked 6 yards from goal. A proper goalscorer, dare i say Norwood, would have taken that first time and given the keeper no chance. Its not as though its going to be a case of him scoring 1 and then going on a run, he's rarely in the position to score so when he is he needs to be clinical, he's just not unfortunately. Fotmob have the xG for his chance at 0.46 so statistically that goal would be scored just under 1 out of every 2 attempts. If he was in confident run of form he'd have scored it. We need to get him firing rather than throw him under the bus. Hopefully he'll get one in the Pizza Cup game that will get that confidence back. | |
