What is your favourite dinosaur?

Kevin Stegosaurus starting the new town players as dinosaur thread, more meaningful than this one.

Comparing McCarthy to McKenna is like comparing a Reliant Robin to a Maserati !

I'd say more Morris Minor Traveller than Reliant Robin -

i'd definitely have mick stockwell (or mills) back on co-comms, probert was a bit dull.

Thought Probert gave us a good insight as to how the club works. I liked the bit where he explained that they do a debrief about the game on the coach journey home. Shows where the coaching staff are making us more professional.

yes, there were some interesting snippets in there, but i much prefer the commentary to be from someone who is not in-house and can give an opinion without fear of how it'll go down with your teammates/colleagues

No I really miss playing 8 defensive players against the bottom of the league side who hadn’t won in like 20 games and scrapping a draw in the last second of the game.

I am getting flashbacks to a dark place!

You are not alone.

Attendances last season were 33% higher than Mick’s last season. The high point of MMs tenure was 2014/15, not surprisingly at 19,603 (11% lower than last season). From 2014/15 crowds fell year on year until a mild bout of optimism when hapless Hurst and Lurch shambled in.

Ok, some of the falling away of crowds was due to Evans and pessimism about the future, but with no actual evidence other than how I felt, some of it was down to what was being offered on the pitch. Rotherham at home was not a ‘great team’ by any stretch and two touch hoof, no midfield and every point is a prisoner was ok for MMs miracle escape when we first arrived, but not year in year out.

I don’t think Wolves and Sunderland would ever want Mick back and they gave him far more resources than we ever did. Mind you, Sunderland were keen on Keane, so maybe there’s no accounting for taste!

When you look at what we’ve had to endure since GBs time, we really are a well supported club - with potential. It must be an exciting time for people working at the club and a brilliant opportunity for McKenna to make his name in the management game.
