...just in time for the summer to end and the price cap to be reinstated....!
But they are an incredible bit of kit, no one is at home today but the sun we've had this morning has basically already fully charged my 8kw battery to use later in day when we are back
And anything used that isn't covered by sun will be replaced by cheap rate electrcitiy during the night for us to then use this morning
Sending lots back to the grid as well now so doing my bit for the planet as well |  |

We're moving soon (if the chain ever completes!) and getting solar panels is definitely on our list for when we're in, as we'll be intending to stay in that house for the long haul. |  |

Just an update on this for anyone interested in these things.....
Since having these installed we've basically used 100kw of electricity, of which just under 5kw has come from the grid, everything else via the sun (and via the sun charging the batteries to store it)
On top of that have sent 64kw back to the grid as well so doing my bit for the planet in that regard
Amazing how they work like this, and if anyone has the capital spare and planning on being in current house a few years then I couldn't recommend them enough.......the Govt should be trying to get them on every council house etc, but they of course won't |
That's brilliant.
They should be on every council owned property large or small IMO.
Presumably you will be left with little more than the standing charge by the end of the year? |  |

Don't be silly, I mean that might cost, £100b or more. What government in their right mind would spend that kind of money on energy, and where would it come from?

Hopefully it ends that way, obviously winter will be different but we should basically have close to xero usage through the summer and less than £1 a day through winter which should leave it at about £15 a month for the year on usage.... | |
