First half was pretty poor wasn't it, but got over the line in the end. Not one we'll look back at as a top performance but equally we've scored 2, missed a pen and hit the woodwork 3 times. By our recent standards it was less controlled though, I thought we looked a bit more suspect at the back which perhaps is to be expected with a personnel change there in the middle.
I like TJJ as a bit of a wild card off the bench but I'm not a fan of him #10 from the start, I don't think he's good enough with his back to goal and the sooner we can get Camara fit the better IMO. |

Just goes to show that to expect 4 or 5 goals away from home, as several were saying before the game, isn’t really realistic. The old adage is true - no easy games in this league. We’ll have to fight for every point. |  |

I agree, and to be fair I think McKenna’s selection this season indicates that he much prefers Chaplin & Harness in there, but needs must when the games are coming thick & fast and options are somewhat limited. I think if Camara can get fit then we’ll see 2 of those 3 more often than not. Hopefully Aluko can be added into that mix in the new year too. It’s a role that needs a certain level of guile that perhaps TJJ will develop over time, he’s still young and we should remember that. I think he’s at his most dangerous playing off the shoulder of the last man against tiring defences.
A win is a win today, not the most accomplished performance but an excellent result. 1 step closer to our objective and back to back home games now. I think we’ll probably see a very different performance vs Lincoln, hopefully a similar outcome.

Don't think it would be unrealistic. But that must have been the best they have played this season, because I can't believe they'd be where they are playing like that all season. | |
