I wouldn't be surprised if this was just a 'water tester' for after the next election for the 150 Kilos of Racist Mince In A 100 Kilo Suit. Once the Tories lose the next election he'll think he can't coast in on a 'save the Tories' ticket.

He's going to be a disruptive and unpleasant influence on the Tories for some time yet, ala Trump with the Republicans. They've now got a significant far-right element they'll feel the need to pander to.

I don't think so. Being LOTO for years wouldn't excite him.

He's more likely to get Truss to give him a peerage in her humiliation honours list and leave Sunak with a by election loss in Uxbridge to explain.

I think Sharma and Wallace (insofar as the latter "leant towards" Johnson) are fairly safe. The others, maybe not so.

Agree. Wallace is a very solid defence secretary.

JRM and Cleverly will be needing new jobs I believe

No shame at all

Ah well, he'll have more time to spend with his pitiful explanation about the ownership of his YouGov shares and the tax due on income received from them.

Sunak and Johnson having dinner tonight apparently by GlasgowBlue 23 Oct 2022 8:22
Somebody suggested Foreign Secretary and one of the replies was that Cleverly is impressing at the FO and is popular with the senior civil servants. Can you confirm?

If true it would be a disgrace to replace him him to make way for Johnson.

He really isn’t popular.

Nice enough personally, but seen as a joke and woefully under-qualified.

Johnson will stew on the back benches until he resigns in December
