Water butts on 08:24 - Nov 3 with 819 views | DJR | Absolutely. I've had to attach a long hose to the overflow pipe to keep the water away from the house. Given the rain we've had recently, I reckon this could have easily amounted to the capacity of 20 water butts. It's a shame this couldn't be put to greater use, eg. to top up the hot water system or be stored up for the garden for next summer. Maybe I need to install a water tower in my garden just like the one on the way into Felixstowe. [Post edited 3 Nov 2022 8:25]

Yes, I got the email yesterday and it's not stopped raining since. Obviously that's not the issue though, the reserves need to be replenished and that'll take a lot more rain than we had last night. SB

Not in Suffolk to be fair although we've had a few monsoons in the last month or so in North Herts. Hopefully a few more to come. When i take the junior F's to Uni in Nottingham i always go the way that takes me past Rutland Water which was well down in level during the summer and only slightly higher around 5-6 weeks ago.
