Matchday music at Portman Road 22:03 - Nov 16 with 1488 views

Are we limited to only being able to play a few select songs or do we just like to use the same ones over and over? I know that we play Chase the Sun (?) just after the HT whistle and also Fatboy Slim before kick-off, both of which are fine and I rather like. Those two are staples. But why have we played Elvis Costello at HT for the past number of games, plus She’s Electric by Oasis seemingly before every game? I also don’t mind either of those songs, but surely we can play something different every matchday? It’s just a bit repetitive.

Unimaginative playlist.

Chase The Sun is good when the HT whistle goes, it’s a nod to the darts as they use that track.

But the rest is whatever the playlist person at ITFC comes up with and leaves on there. A lot of clubs are a lot more creative and will publish a different playlist for each match with a mix of mainstream classics, niche / cult classics and new music.

Absolutely agree - always goes down well when we play it - and a great technical bassline which I've never quite managed to nail!!!
