It amazes me that some non-football fans are still obsessed... 17:15 - Dec 4 with 784 views

...about the amount of coverage football gets.

Really had to bite my tongue when with a group who were moaning about the World Cup being on and that other sports don't get the same coverage.

Firstly, there are hundreds of channels to watch if you don't want to watch football. It's not like it is taking up half the airwaves like it used to.

Secondly, there is so much coverage because so many people are interested in it.

Thirdly, the Olympics gets just as much coverage, albeit just on the Beeb. And these people were amongst those insisting everything had to stop for the Queen dying.

Rant over, apologies. Had to get it off my chest and didn't want to cause a scene at the time!

Queens death fest coverage was completely over the top but the board has been there and done that and we have the deleted threads to prove it.
