They don't complain because they know contact is now considered a foul, and they know it'll be given.
Every person watching can see the contact, and they can see the attacking player plant his foot afterwards i.e having not been genuinely 'fouled', and then flicking it back up into the air and falling over. | |

If you've really watched that and seen the defender 'kick his legs away' then I strongly recommended you book an eye test.
If you're able to plant your foot back on the floor after it's been touched (and then flick it backwards to allow your body to fall to the floor), it's not a foul. | |
